CREDIT REPORTS
Just exactly what is a credit report?. Credit reports are a track history of those who you have applied for and used credit. These can range from department stores, credit cards and various types of loans that you have taken out or used and a history of your payment history on the credit you have used. There are 3 major credit bureaus that monitor your credit: Experian, Equifax and Trans Union. It’s important that you get a 3-in-1credit report that includes reports from all 3 major bureaus as different mortgage lenders and mortgage brokers use different reports from the 3 bureaus. For about $35, a 3-in-1 credit report will pull your credit report from all 3 credit bureaus and pull all the data together into one credit report. For your convenience, we’ve included a link to CreditReporting.com where you can get your 3-in-1 Credit Report for just under $35.
When ordering your 3-in-1 credit report, be sure to and have your financial and loan records available as you’ll be asked numerous questions to verify that you are who you say you are. Please exercise a little patience as these safeguards are in place for your security and are in your best interest. If for some reason you have recently moved, had a change in job status or changed a phone number, this information will most likely be required as well. If for some reason any of your information cannot be verified over the phone, you can expect to have your report mailed to you and you should receive it within a few days. While this is a rare occurrence, it does happen, but in most cases you should have all of your credit information verified over the phone and you’ll be given access to your complete credit report via download and/or for immediate printing.
